1,Overview
The laser methane remote measuring instrument is composed of two subsystems: the laser transmission and reception system and the signal processing system. The laser transmission and reception system consists of two laser beams. One is an infrared laser for gas detection, and the other is a visible red/green laser used for indicating direction and measuring distance. When the user presses the "MEASURE" button, the invisible infrared laser and the red/green indicating laser similar to an indicator pen start to work continuously. The infrared laser emitted by the transmitting end is absorbed by the methane gas when passing through the test gas, and the other part of the light is reflected back to the receiving end through ordinary obstacles (such as: bricks, concrete, grass, etc.). The reflected light returned to the receiving end is collected and converted into an electrical signal and transmitted to the signal processing system. The signal processing system determines whether there is gas leakage in the tested environment by detecting the strength of the laser light absorption and displays the gas concentration in the remote measuring instrument in units of ppm-m or %vol. The visible laser simultaneously measures the distance from the instrument to the reflection point and displays the gas concentration at the same time. Due to the principle that gases (such as methane) have an absorption effect on specific wavelengths of laser, this product only reacts to specific gases (such as methane) and will not cause false alarms due to interference from other gases, dust, water vapor, etc., which greatly improves the detection accuracy and avoids false measurement.The JJT4-1000 methane and carbon monoxide detection and alarm instrument is mainly used by underground detection
